manufacturing finished drug forms, our client is a producer of active pharmaceutical ingredients.

The Position: Chemical Process Engineer

Reporting To: Head of Operational excellence Fine Chemicals BU


Location: Pomorskie, Poland


Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Technological transfer (Project management - Proposal, design, coordination of implementation and follow-up)
2. Interface with R&D and Production (including Pilot Plant)
3. Product Development support
4. Manufacturing process improvements and optimization (Coordination and follow up of all ongoing projects in Fine Chemicals Business Unit (APIs)
5. Process trouble shooting
6. Process modeling using appropriate tools for scale up studies
7. Analyzing Process (use of Design of Experiment (DOE) statistical tools)
8. Process/Technology innovation and new technologies analysis
9. PAT implementation
10. QbD support
11. Process documentation set-up and master batch record definition
12. Manufacturing standards originator (Analysis of production trends and proposal of changes using statistical tools)
13. Procedure and technological information
14. Training on manufacturing process
15. Process review and gap analysis (Process engineering and optimization)
16. Capability planning and proposal for investments
17. Budget preparation coordination and control of variances
18. Process validation and trials coordination
19. Product and raw materials characterization for implementation in process (process and raw material management, definition and preparation of BOM’s and Standards for process feasibility analysis)
20. URS preparation for new equipment
21. Cleaning validation execution
22. KPIs and Benchmarking.


Education: Degree in chemistry, industrial engineering, chemical engineering or related discipline. English as a second language is a must.


Experience: The ideal candidate will have the following experience and knowledge:

1. Successful experience in Chemical Manufacturing, Development, Process Engineering with added knowledge of solid state chemistry-process in commercial scale.
2. At minimum, 5 years of successful experience in manufacturing and Process Engineering.
3. Basic knowledge of statistics and aptitude in information technology.
4. Demonstrated expertise in process modeling in technology transfer (laboratory scale, Pilot Plant, Production)
5. Track record in leading productivity teams with demonstrable and definable achievements.

7. Leadership skills. Sets high standards for direct-reports.
